Battlefront
Battlefront is an educational project which offers multi - curricula opportunities for engaging, stimulating and personalised class work, extended projects and family learning.This innovative project follows the efforts of 20 young people as they build campaigns about issues which affect us all. Covering issues as diverse as an Anti-Knife and - Gun campaign, to an organ recipient’s quest to raise awareness of Organ Donation, the Battlefront project utilises the best of both traditional and new media using a combination of television, hub website and Web 2.0 social networking sites as dynamos for change

Battlefront in the Classroom
In the classroom, there are many ways that the Battlefront project may be used:
- watch the television programmes on individual campaigners as a starter to a project
- use the Campaigner’s Handbook to support project and portfolio work
- raise awareness of local, national and international issues by following an individual campaign
- engage directly with featured campaigners by using the blog posting facility
- incorporate the suggested activities into your subject
- invite a campaigner into your learning centre to talk to students about their experiences
- follow the link and use the suggested activities to support a variety of curriculum areas , using the downloadable peer assessment and self assessment sheets to support them
Curriculum Relevance
Battlefront currently links curriculum subjects such as Citizenship and PSHEE, covering areas such as HIV/AIDS, Homophobia, Gun and Knife Crime and more..
