In this programme the focus is on healthy living. The
story raises issues about what we need to do to stay healthy and
happy.

The animals continue on their travels, which take
them to a mountain they have to climb to get to the other side.
On the way they meet a super-fit racoon called Rikki. He
suggests that the friends are not very fit, so the animals get into
training to enable them to get to the top of the mountain.
They have to think about exercise, the food they eat and making
sure that they get enough sleep.

Children need to develop an understanding that they
can be responsible for their own personal health.
Most people need to engage in exercise that will make their
heart beat faster for at least 20 minutes a day, such as playing
outdoor games, walking the dog, or walking to and from school.
While no individual food is unhealthy, eating only chocolate
would not provide the range of vitamins and minerals that the body
needs to function properly, so being healthy means that people
should, each day, eat foods from the five main food groups:
- fruit and vegetables
- bread, cereals and potatoes
- milk, cheese, yoghurt, fromage frais
- meat, fish, pulses, poultry
- foods containing fat or sugar

Children could create their
own fitness video by working in pairs or small groups videoing
themselves or have the teacher video them. The video could then be
shown to the rest of the class, who would follow the instructions
given by the group on the video.
Children could create their own healthy
activities for the classroom, which might include:
- drinking water through the day
- taking part in brain gym exercises
- stretching activities
