This programme charts the writing process and shows how he talks about poetry and football to schoolchildren. PROGRAMME 3 Football has featured in fiction for many years. This programme explores its use in three distinct media settings: the film and book of Kes by Barry Hines; a newspaper cartoon strip; and Sky Television's Dream Team. PROGRAMME 4 This programme offers different interpretations of the play, comparing the character of King Henry V to the manager or captain of a football team. The conspiracy scene is unravelled for its significance in showing Henry as single minded and determined. PROGRAMME 5 This programme follows Henry's campaign in France up to the French defeat at Agincourt. Excerpts from the play are matched by the comments of footballers and managers on the problems faced in playing away from home.
