  • the distribution of economic activity, such as the energy supply industry
  • how the search for sustainable development affects environmental planning

Equally it provides excellent support for the Scottish 11-14 Environmental Studies requirements, especially:

  • the study of economic organisation as it affects energy supplies in Scotland
  • conserving natural resources and understanding how people interact with the environment

Snowdonia: The future of upland farmers

This programme provides valuable material on Key Stage 3 National Curriculum geography requirements, particularly:

  • factors influencing distinctive economic activities such as hill farming
  • how attempts are made to manage environments of great scenic attraction

It also supports the Scottish Environmental Studies 11-14 programme in the information it gives on:

  • understanding the interaction between different people and their environment
