The X File
Description: Please note: the Study Guide has
been separated into 4 parts, for the purposes of
downloading
The X File series is designed to
provide resource material appropriate to the 'People and Society'
attainment outcome, as described in the 5–14 guidelines for
Environmental Studies in Scotland. However, the material will also
be useful for supporting learning and teaching elsewhere, within a
broad framework of social studies, and for developing aspects of
personal and social development and citizenship.
The series aims to develop knowledge and understanding of
individual rights and responsibilities in a democratic society,
ways in which such a society involves individuals in the
decision-making process, and ways in which disputes and conflicts
are dealt with in democratic states and communities.
