The Children's War Sites
Anne Frank Educational Trust UK http://www.afet.org.uk/ This is a site about the Holocaust, focusing on Anne Frank's experience. A wide range of information and resources, an Anne Frank exhibition, and plenty of useful links to other sites.
Chatback Trust http://www.rmplc.co.uk/eduw eb/sites/chatback/ Chatback was set up with the specific purpose of putting children in touch with older people, to make use of the treasure trove which their memories represent. There are stories which can be downloaded, and the facility to email the contributors.
Nazi Children http://home.online.no/~kluwer/ In some ways a disturbing site, based around contemporary issues, which must be viewed by teachers first. The site is the focus of a group whose parents were involved in the National Socialist regime in some way. It charts their attempts to come to terms with this legacy.
What did you do in the war, Grandma? http://www.stg.brown.edu/projects/WWII_Women/tocCS.html An American collection containing a wealth of reminiscences and interviews about the home front in the USA.
The Wolf Lewkowicz Collection http://web.mit.edu/maz/wolf/ A huge collection of letters between an American Jew living in Chicago and his uncle living in Poland through the 1920s,1930s and 1940s. Moving and powerful material.
