Hearts and Partners Activities
Before discussing the poems, listen to the readings on the video and the comments. Make note and use them as a starting point for discussion. For more ideas, see the General Activities section. The following questions were included in the 1999 exam paper for English Literature (Foundation): Hearts and Partners In your answer to Question 28 or Question 29 you must refer to pre-twentieth-century and to twentieth-century poetry. Either What have you found serious and what have you found amusing in the Hearts and Partners poems? Compare three or four poems. You should write about: - what you have found to be serious
- what you have found to be amusing
- how the poets write about these things
