An English Classic
Programme Aims
To examine and explore:
- the creative and technical stages involved in producing an
animation
- ways in which meaning is conveyed in image and sound
- how a fourteenth century text can be made accessible and
enjoyable for a modern audience
This Online Extra support material is designed primarily for
secondary school English and Media Studies teachers and for
KS4/post 16 pupils' use. Third level students taking Medieval and
Media Studies options may find the material of interest. The notes
may also be of use to the general public who enjoy the Channel 4
treatment of 'Sir Gawain and the Green Knight', and wish to find
out more about the processes involved in producing
animations.
