After Viewing

Rewind the programme to specific points and ask the students to:

  • Review the different types of processing used in the ‘Pulse of Tala’ and their effect on the music (04.05).
  • Listen to a section of sampled chants in ‘Arsenal - Trevor’s Conversion’ (for example 12.55 and 16.42) and ask students to workout how they are organised. They can show the structure by using graphic notation.
  • Compare the different sections in ‘Arsenal - Trevor’s Conversion’ which sections have similar ideas? e.g. chugging strings, sustained chords. How do similar sections vary?
