Programme 2: Mix It After Viewing
Rewind the programme to specific points and ask the students to: - Review the different types of processing used in the Pulse of Tala and their effect on the music (04.05).
- Listen to a section of sampled chants in Arsenal - Trevors Conversion (for example 12.55 and 16.42) and ask students to workout how they are organised. They can show the structure by using graphic notation.
- Compare the different sections in Arsenal - Trevors Conversion which sections have similar ideas? e.g. chugging strings, sustained chords. How do similar sections vary?
