Subject (main) - Design and Technology - Product Design, Graphic Products, Textiles Technology, Electronic Products Subjects (related) - PSE Key Stage - Key Stage 4 and AS Age range - 14 - 17 Year groups - Y10, Y11, Y12 Examination syllabi - All GCSE Design and Technology Product Design, Graphic Products, Resistant Materials, Electronic Products and Textile Technology courses. The programme specifically references to the following aspects of both full and short courses: Designing skills - to consider an increasing range of users of products in relation to their differing needs and values
- to use graphic techniques and ICT, including CAD to generate, develop, model and communicate design proposals
- to ensure, through testing, modification and evaluation, that the quality of their products is suitable for intended users and devise modifications where necessary which would improve performance
- consider a wide range of users and produce designs which are inclusive rather than exclusive
