Aims
As a result of watching the programme, students
will:
- know about and understand attitudes towards women's role within
the family during the twentieth century;
- be able to use a range of sources to describe, explain and
analyse the key features and characteristics of women's role and
experiences within the family in the twentieth century;
- be able to identify and explain change and continuity in
women's role and experiences within the family in the twentieth
century;
- understand how the provenance of a source affects its
content;
- use evidence to substantiate an argument;
- appreciate the diversity of women's experiences according to
ethnicity, social class, region, religion;
- think critically about the media as an agent of social
control.
