The story In an Arab village a beggar asks for money and food because he is very poor. The beggar is a good man, but is not wanted in the village. His only friend is a widow, who is also poor, and the beggar gives money to her and her children. Near the village there is a dangerous place called the forest of stone. In the forest live some savages who kill people who pass through. One day the beggar, tired and sad, leaves the village at night. During the morning he is in the forest of stone. Some of the savages take him to see their king. The beggar is afraid, but he gets a big surprise… And when he returns to the village everyone is very friendly towards him… El cuento En un pueblo árabe un mendigo pide dinero y comida porque es muy pobre. El mendigo es bueno, pero en el pueblo no le quieren. Sólo una mujer viuda, también pobre, es su amiga y él le da dinero para ella y sus hijos. Cerca del pueblo hay un lugar peligroso: el bosque de piedra. En el bosque viven unos salvajes que matan a las personas que pasan por él. Un día el mendigo, cansado y triste, se va del pueblo por la noche. Por la mañana está en el bosque de piedra. Unos salvajes lo llevan a ver a su rey. El mendigo tiene miedo, pero tiene una gran sorpresa… Y cuando vuelve al pueblo todos son muy simpáticos con él…
