Aims

• To understand different ways of making decisions within groups, including consensus, majority vote and nominating a decision maker
• To understand that the development of democracy means including more people on an equal basis in decision making
• To consider and discuss the different qualities that are needed by good leaders and elected representatives
• To know about some examples of community improvement projects in which young people have actively participated
