Langage of Scottish Natioun?

Aims

Pupils will:

• recognise that Scotland was a very European country in medieval times and many European languages were spoken there;
• discover that Scots was a language with high status and spoken by royalty;
• learn about Scots literature from the past;
• be introduced to the Border Scots dialect;
• raise their awareness of the diversity of viewpoints and issues surrounding the Scots language today.
