Light Fantastic Aims
- To present the electromagnetic spectrum, and the range of radiations of different wavelengths of which it is composed.
- To introduce the concept of astronomical observation at wavelengths other than those of visible light.
- To demonstrate how our knowledge of the Universe is vastly increased by observing astronomical objects at a range of different wavelengths.
- To give examples of the different kinds of electromagnetic radiation emitted by various astronomical objects.
