Aims

Pupils should be able to:

• assess some of the stereotypical views of boys and girls;
• understand everyone's right to their own sexual identity;
• appreciate the pressures from the media and friends to conform in certain ways;
• understand values in a relationship such as respect, trust and honesty;
• understand the need to respect an individual's right not to be sexually active.
