Programme 3: Jazz

Introduction

This programme examines the frameworks in which musicians improvise and looks at the relationship between composer and improviser. The featured jazz artists are:
1. Courtney Pine ‘The Jazz Step’ based on a 12 bar blues.
2. Django Bates ‘Armchair March’ featuring the Human Chain the Aylesbury Music Centre Big Band.
