Aims

To enable students to:

• consider and investigate a wide range of user needs and produce designs which are inclusive rather than exclusive
  
• ensure that the quality of their design solution will be suitable for intended clients and consumers
  
• understand how graphic techniques and CAD software can be used to model aspects of a design proposal and assist in making decisions
  
• understand a range of prototyping and modelling methods to explore and communicate design proposals
  
• recognise that the aesthetic, technological and functional qualities of a product are all important
