PROGRAMME 9: REMI

ACTIVITIES

Guidance

This programme would be useful for any student group that has to make a career decision soon. It could also be used in the run up to work experience (or as preparation for a work shadowing day) as it stresses the need to get real experiences in order to make decisions. It could be a great general introduction to a careers programme, by illustrating the need to find careers information and to start thinking as early as possible about career ideas.

Before viewing

Discussion questions for small groups or pairs:

• If you had to choose between two career options what could you do to help you decide?
• Why is it important to think about your likes and dislikes and what you are good at before deciding which job you would like to do?

After/during viewing

Some or all of the following activities relate to specific clips from the programme. We regret that we cannot make these clips available on the website. Teachers and other users can access the programmes free of charge from the Channel 4 video on demand service, 4oD (PC only), or the programmes may be taped off air for use in the classroom (see TV listings for the current term's schedule).
