New Boy

Aaron Burton

Aaron comes from a rural school in Lincolnshire. He was described by his peers at school as a dweeb. Girls found him creepy because he used to stare at them and not say anything.

Awkward, annoying and a loner Aaron had very few friends in Year-9. Within a very short time Kate Marlow identified he promoted this annoying characteristic to get attention.

By the end of the course Aaron has changed both physically and mentally and managed to rid himself of that annoying and creepy stare. The girls who were so damning of him at the beginning said he has changed an awful lot and is no longer irritating, but actually very easy to talk to. They also have noticed he looks better with his new stylised hair. Although none said they fancied him, he has not got a sense of himself being ugly anymore and has a new found confidence when talking to people, especially girls.

The teachers have noticed a huge change in him. He has come up to them to talk, and as with all the "new" boys, Aaron is now treating his teachers like human beings rather than unapproachable teachers. Aaron seems more confident and willing to engage in lessons now.
