MY CRAZY MEDIA LIFE
PROGRAMME 3: NOT ONE OF THE GANG
This programme is presented by 17-year-old Dexter who, after leaving prison, has decided to work with young people in his area to prevent them from getting involved in gang culture. The work of a charity called X-it is highlighted as well as the lives of some of the young people they work with.
PROGRAMME AIMS
To raise awareness of:
- gang culture in the UK
- the importance of identity and family
- peer pressure
- educational exclusion.

This programme is relevant for examined courses in Citizenship, English, Sociology, Media Studies, General Studies and aspects of Religious Education. It is also useful for the following aspects of PSHE and Citizenship in the National Curriculum:
