MY CRAZY MEDIA LIFE

PROGRAMME 2: TELLING THE WORLD I'M HIV

This programme is presented by Carly, who has decided to go public about her HIV status. She contracted HIV from her mother at birth, and the programme shows her battling with the decision, the stigma it entails and the bullying she is subjected to. It ends with Carly expressing her determination to continue to educate people about HIV.

• the power of the media.

England and Wales

This programme is relevant for examined courses in Citizenship, English, Sociology, Media Studies, General Studies and aspects of Religious Education. It is also useful for the following aspects of PSHE and Citizenship in the National Curriculum:
