MY CRAZY MEDIA LIFE
PROGRAMME 1: MY BROTHER, THE BOY WHO WENT TO WAR
The programme is presented by young people who have lost a brother or friend in the Iraq war. They talk about the young people who lost their lives fighting a war far away, and suggest reasons why they wanted to be soldiers.
PROGRAMME AIMS
To raise awareness of:
- the reasons young people go to war
- the importance of identity, family and work
- the impact of bereavement on the lives of those close to the victims
- personal and social responsibilities.

England and Wales
This programme is relevant for examined courses in Citizenship, English, Sociology, Media Studies, General Studies and aspects of Religious Education. It is also useful for the following aspects of PSHE and Citizenship in the National Curriculum:
