PROGRAMME 7 – LEAH

Leah is 17 and lives in Brixton, London, with her mum. She has achieved well in her exams and now studies media, philosophy and dance (her real passion). She has recently split up with her boyfriend Kieran and is now at a crossroads: should she look for another boyfriend or concentrate on working hard at college and thinking about her future? Her friends use a camera to record their advice to her.

• To stress that young people don't have to have a partner to be happy
• To encourage students to reflect on their feelings rather than burying them
• To show how it helps to talk about problems
• To show that you can be just good friends with a member of the opposite sex.
