GAY TO Z
PROGRAMME 4
PROGRAMME OUTLINE
00:00 – 06:00
LGB young people can be at risk of self-harm and suicide, but there are services that can help. Reem has self-harmed in the past, and Lewis drank and missed school. He felt that he had something wrong with him.
06:01 – 09:47
Logan campaigns against homophobic bullying. Lewis has had a lot of support from his local gay youth group, and his supportive dad asked him to come and live with him. Black and Asian communities can make it difficult for young people to come out.
09:48 – 11:19
Reem is going to visit family in Egypt. She worries that she might be forced to stay.
11:20 – 13:15
Sarah would have been quite happy to have a closeted relationship but Logan refused.
13:16 – 18:00
Kevin's mum likes him being gay and all she wants is for him to be happy. It's moving day for Stephen and Kevin.
18:01 – 21:54
Logan lives with Sarah and her children, Matthew and Sian. Matthew used to wish Logan was a boy, but now he doesn't - he loves her. Stephen and Kevin's new flat is their own world and it is very special to both of them.
21:55 – 24:05
Reem still isn't back. Her best friend is worried, and then we hear that Reem has decided to stay in Egypt.
