GAY TO Z

PROGRAMME 1

PROGRAMME OUTLINE

00:00 – 04:54

Lewis can't find a boyfriend and thinks he might be looking too hard. Finding love can be complicated when you're gay but it is possible. Jen and Bex are in love and finding it difficult to concentrate on their studies.

04:55 – 07:20

Justin was thrown out of the house when he came out. The council found him a flat and his boyfriend David is living there too.

07:08 – 08:23

Lewis still likes his old boyfriend and is feeling confused.

08:24 – 12:54

Bex came out recently. Her mum said she was proud and wanted her to be happy. However, there may be conflict between being gay and religion and culture: Reem came out to her Egyptian Muslim parents during an argument, after which Reem left home.

12:55 – 15:45

Jack moved out after coming out and is struggling with living on his own. For Reem, moving out has given her freedom.

15:46 – 20:38

Jack has never met the man he has been chatting to online, but he gives him his number to meet up. It is unadvisable to take stupid risks and to believe everything people tell you on the internet. Jack is advised to keep himself safe and let people know where he's going. Meanwhile, Lewis looks through some personal ads in the newspaper, and Jen and Bex, who met while dancing, use any excuse to be together.

20:39 – 23:54

Justin thought he had found true love but David has left him.
