Dr Rachel Andrew is introduced. She will work with Jenny on her anger.
02:38 – 04:04
Jenny and Rachel meet for the first time and Jenny explains that her mum left her as a child and that her father is in Russia, meeting up with his future wife. Jenny is dreading his return and is pessimistic about his future.
04:05 – 05:55
One of Jenny's foster brothers talks about her temper, and Jenny and Rachel start work. Rachel explains that the home is constantly changing and that is why Jenny seeks reassurance in her cuddly toys.
05:56 – 08:44
Jenny's father is back from Russia and Rachel gets an insight into the relationship between Jenny and her father. We also see one of the letters she has written to him.
08:45 – 09:20
Rachel analyses the situation and suggests ways of moving their relationship forward.
09:21 – 13:35
Jenny and Rachel get away from the house and Jenny reveals that the whole household fights all the time. We see some of the problems that ensue when a shopping trip is suggested.
13:36 – 15:33
It's the last day of Rachel's work with Jenny, but it doesn't get off to a good start. Rachel has asked Jenny and her dad to write a letter to each other about their relationship, but neither of them has done so.
15:34 – 20:20
Jenny and her dad write a hurried letter to each other and he realises that Jenny needs more of his time. Rachel thinks that anger is a currency within the family and that people don't talk about their feelings. Rachel leaves, encouraging them to work harder towards change. She leaves an encouraging card for Jenny.
20:21 – 23:56
Jenny's father marries his Russian girlfriend and Jenny now has a new mum and stepsister. Rachel sums up how complicated contemporary family life can be. She goes back to see how things are going. Jenny is calmer and less angry. She says she controls her temper by walking away rather than arguing. Her father says they are more of a family unit now and that they are talking more openly and honestly with each other.
