CURRICULUM
SERIES AIMS
- To raise awareness of the effects of homophobic bullying on young people
- To explore factors that affect self-esteem, self-confidence and the ability to work effectively in collaborative situations
- To illustrate the attitudes, skills and knowledge required to successfully plan and run an event
- To support enterprise and work-related learning activities by enhancing understanding of basic business principles, concepts and terminology
- To explore some of the common issues faced by entrepreneurs, including how to handle uncertainty, assess risks and solve problems.
CURRICULUM RELEVANCE
This series supports a range of personal and social learning activities across the 14-19 age range. As well as linking with cross curricular themes such as ethos, enterprise and inclusion, it is of particular relevance to the following subject areas:

- Having a sense of identity and presenting confidently in a range of situations
- Challenging prejudice, bullying and discrimination assertively; and taking the initiative in giving and receiving support
- Working co-operatively with a range of people; showing goodwill to others; and using strategies to resolve disagreement peacefully.

- Recognising, developing and applying skills for enterprise and employability
- Learning about the way business enterprises operate, and about working roles and responsibilities in the workplace.
