BATTLEFRONT

PROGRAMME 5: MANPREET DARROCH – ROAD SAFETY

Every day, 91 people are killed or seriously injured in the UK in road accidents, and Manpreet is a young man determined to do something about it! Twenty-year-old student Manpreet's inspiration was meeting people affected by road accidents. He is convinced that wearing earplugs whilst crossing the road is a major factor – people are just not aware of the traffic. His 'Tune in to Traffic' campaign leads him to meet his local MP, appear on local TV and in newspapers, and work with the musician Apache Indian. But can he convince people to take off their earplugs and listen, as well as look, when crossing the road?
