BATTLEFRONT

Alex, a Battlefront campaigner

Alex, one of 20 Battlefront campaigners, who is determined to stop gun and knife crime (see Programme 1).

Ever thought that young people are apathetic and self-centred? Well, watch Battlefront and be amazed while 20 young campaigners save the world!

In the summer of 2008, 20 young campaigners joined the Battlefront project – an online vehicle for raising awareness of the issues that really matter to young people. Each had a different burning issue and a different campaign style, but they all had a passion to make the world a better place. From the environment to road safety, and from knife crime to body image, our campaigners go all-out to convince us to change. In this first of two five-part series, we see the exciting journeys taken by five of the campaigners, and we witness the highs and lows of their campaigns.

Apart from watching the TV series, students can join in by logging onto the Battlefront website and sharing their comments.
