16 for a Day supports learning activities that aim to help young people identify, consider and resolve the everyday issues that face them in life. The programme can be used in a variety of curriculum contexts, but its main locus is in the lifestyle, relationships and self-development aspects of personal development programmes such as PSHE.

PROGRAMME AIMS

  • To show what teenage life is like in modern Britain
  • To help young people explore the challenges and pressures that teenagers face, especially those relating to:
  • neighbourhood and community life
  • family and friends
  • love and relationships
  • self-image
  • the transition from childhood to adulthood
  • the future.
