‘Victorian Children’ is a website for pupils and teachers covering Unit 11 of the DfEE/ QCA Schemes of Work for History. While not exhaustive, it provides resources and interactive tasks for pupils which cover the learning objectives of the scheme. It is an exciting way of introducing children to the topic, or of assessing their knowledge and understanding.

It is aimed at Years 5 and 6, but could also be used by Years 3 and 4. The website encourages children to make links between different areas of the topic in a unique way. It also encourages independent learning.

Extra Activities and Resources suggest ways for teachers to develop work. It is hoped that the pupil email facility and the teachers noticeboard will be a way for teachers to share useful ideas and resources.
