Waste Audit
Hold a waste audit - just like the school in the programme. Remember to wear gloves - and not to handle dangerous waste.

Put the results up on the school notice board. Which class is the school's waste champion? Which produces least waste - for the number of students? Is that true - every day?

You can separate your waste and take it for recycling:

Glass - by colour - into recycling bins.

Paper of all types into bins.

Plastics have to be sorted by hand. It's a slow process.

Aluminium is a hugely expensive material to make from ore (aluminium-containing rocks). However, it can be recycled easily, cheaply and endlessly.
