Snorter and Decimole have undergone a complete makeover in an attempt to gain higher scores on the dater machine. In the warm up session contestants are asked to translate points on a grid by moving them left, right, up or down. Sad Man makes a successful transformation of a right angles triangle. The Translator, one of the Maths Monsters, appears and sings his song about what he can do. Bad Man meets some school children and gets them to play 'translations'. In the Great hall for the final test, contestants have to translate a triangle to different positions. They are successful and win a card.

Viewers' Challenge

The vertical (blue) rectangle goes right two, down two, – the horizontal (red) rectangle goes left three down two – the green rectangle in the middle doesn't move. Do you get it?
