Sad Man introduces his Coordinator Dating Machine. Snorter and Decimole volunteer to try it out. In the warm up session the contestants have to fix coordinates on a grid. Sad Man tests Mr Girhalf on the dater machine His score is in negative numbers. Sad Man takes a similar dating machine on to the street to do a survey of some passers by. He asks them to estimate their friends' score on the machine. Back in the Great Hall the contestants have to cope with a grid in four quadrants. They meet the challenge just in time to get a maths card.

Viewers' Challenge

Plot the coordinates (2, 2) (–2, –2) (4, –4) (–4, 4). Join the points to make a quadrilateral. Is it a rectangle, a rhombus or a kite?
