Obtaining care services

The NHS was created in 1948 and is run directly by the Ministry of Health. The aspect of the NHS that we are probably all most familiar with is the free care offered by its primary care doctors and nurses.

Finding the right service can be quite a task in its own right, and patients will often need to know their options when pursuing help. One vital thing to remember is to listen to people.

Try not to make any assumptions; every patient is different. Common symptoms may appear differently in individual people.
