Picture of Maurice and Bobby'Fairground Spells' is a set of interactive rides and stalls that might typically be found at a summer fair. The user is faced with a choice of rides and stalls each providing a challenge with the opportunity for prizes. Prizes and bonuses add up to allow the user to win a ride on the ghost train. The more prizes they collect, the longer their ride will be on the ghost train.

The challenges in each game are designed to help users practise their spelling and punctuation in a fun and interesting way. The content is particularly focused on Key Stage 3 English and ranges from level 5 to level 7.

The activities are as follows:

Ferris Wheel
Focused practice with vowel pairs.

Test Your Skill
Asks the user to find short words contained in longer words.

Whack a Moley
A modern variation on the traditional hangman game.

Concentrates on suffixes and prefixes.

Fruit Machine
Partially spelt words - provides spelling practice up to 8 letter words.

Grabber Grammar
Punctuation practice - especially the use of the apostrophe.
