Employment Survey

Today, the coal mines that brought people to work and live in Gelli have gone and new employment patterns have replaced the old ones. Many of the people who live in the former coal mining settlements in South Wales now commute to work in shops, offices and factories further south.

Carry out an employment survey in your area asking parents and others in the community about their work. Draw a table like the one below:
