Why do some materials feel cool, and others feel warm?

All the materials in a room are at the same temperature (except if they're a radiator or a fridge of course!) But some materials conduct the heat of your body away from you quickly - like a metal door handle. Others don't - like a cushion. Some even reflect the heat of your body back to you - like some plastics. These feel warm to the touch.
