How do we know the Earth is round?
   
Answer
 
As ships appear over the horizon, we see the top first. Buildings in different parts of the world throw shadows of different lengths at the same time of day - which wouldn't be true if the Sun were overhead for everyone. Pictures from space also show that the Earth is round.
