Make a Tudor portrait

You will need...

Paper

Card

Scissors

Pencils

Colouring pens

An oval shape to draw round (you could use a plate or dish)

Pasta shells

Glue

Gold spray


Try this...

Draw an oval shape on a piece of paper.

Draw the portrait in the oval and colour it in. Cut it out.

Draw an oval shape on the card. Cut it out.

Cut out the inside to make a frame.

5

Stick pasta shells on the frame, then spray it gold.

Stick your portrait in the frame.

Making a Tudor Portrait

Now try this...

DrawWhat does a king look like? Draw a picture of a king, showing all the different things that are used to make him look important.

Here are some of them:

A crown, a sceptre (a big gold stick which he holds in his hands), rich clothes, a long cloak, a throne (a special chair).

How else can you make a king look important?

Look for pictures of our queen on coins and stamps, or in magazines.
